Anderida 2010 - "The Glory That Was Greece" (DBM) & "Swifter Than Eagles - The Biblical Middle East at War" (FoG)

13-14 November 2010, The Aqua Club, Pevensey Bay

Anderida 2010  will include both De Bellis Multitudinis and Field of Glory competitions.  For DBM, the theme is "The Glory That Was Greece"; all armies should be based on the new (DBMM) lists, dated between 500 and 320 BC, and cost no more than 500 points.  For FoG, the theme is "Swifter Than Eagles - The Biblical Middle East at War" and armies must cost no more than 850 points.  The lists of eligible armies can be downloaded below.

Army choices can be reserved by e-mailing Eric Cruttenden (organiser) and James Parker (webmaster).  If in doubt about your army choice, please e-mail the army list checkers for advice: John Graham-Leigh for DBM, Nik Gaukroger for FOG.

For the DBM competition, we will be using the House Rules as approved by Richard Bodley Scott for his Godendag competition.

Eric will confirm the location of the event as soon as he can, so don't book your Pevensey accommodation just yet.

Registration will be from 8.45 am on Saturday 13 November 2010.   It is the intention that the first game will start at 9.30 am sharp.

The cost this year is £12 per team. If you would like an acknowledgement that your entry has been received, please enclose a sae. Whilst Eric is happy to correspond with you via email, the registration of your team will be made on receipt of the tear off slip attached and the entrance fee.  Formal registration to the competition will only be made by Eric on receipt of the entry form and a cheque for £12 made payable to Eastbourne War Games Society.

Society of Ancients Shield

As you know, some of the Committee of the SOA decide who should receive this shield each year. Bearing in mind that the Committee Members are also competing, they see very little of what else is going on around them. Please, please help them to decide so, if you are aware of any circumstances arising throughout the weekend which are worthy of note, please mention to Dave Edwards or any of his fellow SOA Committee Members - I am sure you will find they will appreciate any help you can give them.
